What are the benefits of being an NBCT in TX?
Texas NBCT Financial Incentives
BCTs in Texas will help generate an annual allotment for their district of $3k-9k for their district. The funding varies based on socioeconomic status of the students and campus’ rural status. 90% or more of the allotment funds generated must be spent on teacher compensation on the campus where the designated teacher works. District spending plans may vary.
Additionally, a number of school districts and professional organizations recognize National Board Certification through local agreements. Texas recently passed HB3 supporting National Board Certification in Texas.
