State Recognition

In Nevada, National Board Certified Teachers are eligible to receive a total of six renewal credits to be applied to their teaching licenses. For more information make sure that you visit the Nevada Department of Education Website for the most up-to-date information.

Educational Credits

Some Universities within the state of Nevada may offer educational credits or graduate hours to teachers pursuing NBPTS Certification. Nevada teachers are urged to check with their local universities to see if credit is an option.

NBPTS Support Options

NBPTS support offerings are available in some areas of Nevada.  Regardless of these offerings, it is important to know that you have options and that you recognize the importance of working with other teachers or NBCTs in order to collaborate. The following virtual collaboration options, offered by Tracey Bryant Stuckey, are available to candidates:

These PD experiences offer collaboration with teachers across the nation and by the end, teachers will be ready to submit their NB Portfolio.
