Kindergarten Program

During this signature course you will:

• Understand & examine the role of executive function skills (Quotient Intelligence skills) in the learning of young children 

• Examine the four parts to a learning environment and how to make the classroom environment the 3rd teacher. 

• Analyze how state/national learner standards fit into play and how to plan for the play to purposefully work toward their mastery. 

• Research and apply authentic assessment to play-based activities in the classroom.

• Master strategies necessary to manage the purposeful play-based environment along with challenging behaviors. 

• Use trial and error of different types of daily schedules that produce the most impact on student learning. 

• Produce long and short-range plans rooted in learner standards to ensure students me accountability requirements in ELA, MATH and INQUIRY.
